Seattle Arts & Lectures (SAL) is a nonprofit literary organization that brings celebrated writers and artists to the Seattle community. For an event featuring renowned artist and writer Anne Carson, I designed a poster that leaned on SAL’s core branding and a striking black-and-white photograph provided by the team. To reflect Carson’s bold artistic voice, I expanded the visual system by introducing a sharp, modern typeface. The final design features dramatic red typography over the monochrome image, creating a high-contrast, visually arresting composition that captures the spirit of the event.
